With over 25 years of experience in the dynamic field of marketing, Beth Foley Barnes is an innovative marketing executive. As a strategic thinker and a natural leader, Barnes has demonstrated exceptional abilities in team management, fostering creativity, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious marketing goals. Her strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels have been instrumental in implementing successful marketing initiatives. Barnes holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Fordham University. She remains dedicated to continuous learning and professional development to stay ahead in an industry that thrives on innovation and creativity. When not devising groundbreaking marketing strategies, Barnes enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and two daughters, exploring Mississippi, and cooking up a storm with her Cookbook Club.

Beth Moses, a resident of Carroll County in MS is a graduate of Mississippi State in education. She enjoys five children and 8 grandchildren who she holds close to her heart. She has dabbled in oil but fell in love with acrylics and different mediums several years ago. She not only loves to display her art, but also uses it as a hobby as well as a business. Beth Moses teaches children’s art classes and seasonal adult painting classes.

Dalia Quay was born in Romania, and raised in Israel, and has lived in California before relocating to Mississippi. Quay has taught & influenced numerous children to express their thoughts through art. Quay’s artwork focuses on paintings with distinctive attention to detail. Quay also works with oils, acrylics, metal embossing, woods, and mix media projects. A former contractor, fashion designer, and global traveler Quay brings her anything is possible teaching philosophy to her Leflore Early Arts Project classes, adult arts classes, and individual art lessons for all ages.

Dr. Paul Schreiber (1961) holds a B.M. in Composition from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan and an M.M. and D.M.A. in Composition from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. Paul’s interests include exploring the possibilities of computer-generated sound and acoustic instruments as well as the implications of form and structure in music. Since 2003, Dr. Schreiber has worked at Mississippi Valley State University where he has taught courses in music theory, music composition, music technology and recording. Schreiber teaches a full schedule of guitar lessons.

Jessica Byrd teaches Clayful Creations, Passport to the Arts, summer camps that take students around the world through art. Jessica has been a working artist and elementary school art teacher in the Sunflower area while raising her family. Byrd has ventured into owning an art studio in rural Sunflower in addition to teaching at ArtPlace Mississippi.

Haley Farris is a Delta native, born, raised, and currently living in the Mississippi Delta. For Farris, being creative and artistic has always come naturally. Haley is an artistic entrepreneur: interior designer, pottery line, and painter of abstracts and landscapes. Haley teaches the Leflore Early Arts Project and Big Art for Little Hands and brings her creative enthusiasm to the next generation of artists.

Growing up in the Mississippi Delta, Christina can remember being so excited when her father gifted her a Bob Ross Oil Painting set. Christina teaches piano, tween arts, and adult art classes. Christina enjoys studying light, depth, and color in her artwork.

Shawn Hodges runs her own design business, Rooster’s Crow Graphics and Marketing. Her love of fine arts led to a side business of painting. Today, she continues her work as a graphic designer in Greenwood, with her husband and four children. Painting is incorporated into her commercial graphic design work as well as a stand alone business. Shawn Hodges teaches our Leflore Early Arts Project, Summer Camps, and adult painting workshops.

Yolande van Heerden, a Greenwood resident since 2011, originally from South Africa, is a fiber artist. Yolande teaches Saturday Morning ArtClub every first Saturday of the month

Shirley Hamilton is an artist and art teacher living in Winona, MS. She works with many media including acrylic, ink, linocut, and mixed media. Shirley is fascinated with the relationship and connections between life, the natural world, science, and art. Shirley teaches the Teen Art Club at ArtPlace on Tuesdays in the fall.

Robin paints on location with watercolor and experiments with foraged wild pigments. She takes a special interest in exploring native habitats on public land in Mississippi. Her lightweight painting system gives her access by foot or kayak to these wild and remote places. Her studio is located just off the square in the historic district of Grenada, Mississippi near Lee Tartt Nature Preserve. At ArtPlace, Robin teaches watercolor classes for teenagers and adults four times a year.
